None were blind to the reaper on his tail.
Least of all, the man himself.

It was reason for the London Jazz Festival programming a concert last November to honour him and Cleo.

Johnny appeared in a wheel-chair to participate with a brief alto solo on just one song - the Duke Ellington tune "Tonight I Shall Sleep".

It touched everyone.
I like that.
