On his return from UNT he joined the popular Vancouver
band People Playing Music. He went on to record
a CD with the band "Sette" after an 8 week

and Weeds formed Crash with tenor saxophonist
Jerry Cook. In 1999 Crash toured Canada making
stops at festivals in Montreal, Halifax, St Johns, and
The Hamilton Festival of The Arts. Weeds is also an

In 1999, Spacious Couch toured Australia and in 2002
they performed at The Toronto Jazz Festival where Weeds
received "Star of the Show" billing by The
Toronto Star.
In 2000, Weeds took over The Cellar Restaurant &
Jazz Club and has established the venue as Vancouver's
sole jazz club (as of this writing). He also started
CELLAR LIVE, a record label dedicated to documenting
some of the finest performances at The Cellar. Weeds
has produced all of these records.
In addition he has hosted and produced, "Chasin
The Train", a 90 minute weekly radio program on
CFRO in Vancouver. The show has been a mainstay on COOP
for over four years. The show airs every Wednesday morning
from 9:00 AM to 10:30 am.
