Not strictly speaking a "jazz" player, Danny Casavant is nonetheless one of the finest, most versatile guitarists in town. Originally from Winnipeg, a friend and student of the legendary Lenny Breau, Danny has made Vancouver his home for twenty-five years.

My interest in jazz has always been on the sideline of my other more well known blues, R&B, rock, country, pop, and folk stylings. Having the influence of Jazz in my playing and being blessed with getting to hang around some of the real jazz guys - like Oliver Gannon, Michael Guild (with whom I did some jazz guitar duo work), Bill Coon, Budge Schachte, and Gaye Delorme has been a thrill for me.Of course playing with and becoming good friends with Amos Garrett, who crosses all boundries, was on of the greatest things I've experienced in my musical life. I've had an interesting career!!!
