Publishers

  • Vehicule Press Published Paul Bley's "Stopping Time" etc. The site contains a regular jazz column, "Dobbin's Den" by Montreal's Len Dobbin, a longtime broadcaster, columnist, reviewer and photographer. There is also an archival section containing past columns.
  • Mercury Press Publishers of Mark Miller's books of Canadian jazz history, David Lee's study of Ornette Coleman, etc.

Magazines

  • Coda Magazine Respected and anticipated by musicians, academics, jazz sophisticates and neophytes alike, each issue of CODA Magazine offers a truly unique perspective on the world of jazz. Published continuously since May 1958.
  • Jazz Improv Magazine U.S. based but but features many Canadian players. Jazz Improv Magazine is the most comprehensive periodical reference about jazz improvisation, designed for enthusiasts and improvisors alike.

  • The Jazz Discography From Canadian Tom Lord, the most complete jazz reference work ever produced. Also available on CD-ROM.
  • Music Books Plus - mail-order service operated by Norris-Whitney Communications who have been providing information services to the music, audio and lighting industries for 21 years. They have a catalog of over 4000 music-related books, videos, CDs, CD-ROMs, audio cassettes, posters, sound effects, software and apparel. U.S. and Canada.
