Cory Weeds’ Cellar Jazz Club to leave current location in March 2014

Cory Weeds’ venerated Cellar Jazz Club will leave its current location on February 24, closing the door on the first, thirteen-year-long chapter of the club’s history and opening the door to a future that includes both a concert series that will begin immediately in March, and, ultimately, a brand new venue.  The move does not affect the Cellar Live record label or New York with Weeds, which will carry on business as usual.

    I like the way you think, dude. We are only as limited as we let them make us! Reach for the stars, and give jazz the platform it needs. Do what Coastal could never do – create a jazz scene that goes beyond 60 seats in the west side…. co-opt or reinvent a great venue that can expand for big crowds. Have you ever been to the ballroom above Mario’s Gelati? It is looking for regular clientele and has a kitchen! Whoa, dude… there are some great places for the Cellar to call HOME! I’m in!
