Dear friends,
Certainly most of you have all heard the sad news of Jack Velker’s passing by now. His memorial service will be on Easter Sunday, April 12th, at the Unitarian Church at 49th & Oak (949 W. 49th Ave), 4 pm – 6 pm. Certainly Jack’s circle of friends was far, far bigger than those of you in my address book, so please do pass this info on to whomever you know would like to be there.

The service will be followed by a gathering of friends and kindred spirits to reminisce on his life and diverse pursuits, At the third temple of the Khult of Isis The Cottage Bistro where Jack officiated the Sunday Soul Service for the past many years 6pm to 8pm 4470 Main Street (between 28th & 29th)
You are also invited to attend 8 pm to midnight a musical Tribute dedicated to this extraordinary being, entertainer, pianist and composer featuring the Sunday soul service band and Special Guests at The Fairview Pub 898 West Broadway

sorry to hear of Jack’s passing, it has been at least 30 years since I have seen him, so I googled his name and learned of the sad news. Jack was a great friend, I will remember you forever Jack.

The news travels a little slow where I live now, in Asia. Jack was a sweet guy . I’ll miss him.
