JOE LOCKE / UGESTU CONCERT WILL AIR LIVE on FEBRUARY 9th

Part of the concept behind CROSS BORDER JAZZ is that the concerts are recorded exclusively for CHASIN THE TRAIN, a 60 minute radio program hosted by Cellar owner Cory Weeds. The show airs every MONDAY from 11:00 AM to NOON on 102.7 CFRO-FM. The musicians are paid for a 'one time use' radio broadcast. On January 24th, vibraphonist extraordinaire JOE LOCKE teamed up with UGETSU featuring BERNIE ARAI drums, ANDRE LACHANCE bass, ROSS TAGGART piano, ROD MURRAY trombone, STEVE KALDESTAD tenor sax and BRAD TURNER trumpet. The show was absolutely exhilerating as they septet worked through the well known material from JOE HENDERSON's classic BLUE NOTE album 'MODE FOR JOE.'
