Hello from Jill Townsend in NY

As reported earlier, The Jill Townsend Big Band is in New York for the annual IAJE Conference.

Jill writes, “It has been smooth sailing so far with regard to getting here.We’re staying onsite at the Sheraton Hotel and there are tons of musicians hanging out, which has created a pretty cool and friendly vibe. We will send some photos of the first couple of days a little later. Our performance is today at 1:00pm…we will play Ian McDougall’s new piece, and Mike McClennan’s new work as well. I had better get going. More later.”
